So, Im not a blogger or journaler by any means but here goes....

Here in Florence after a quick first stop in Venice for the first few days...Took water taxis to Murano island and saw the glass making and museums that showcase all of the glass works that are known around the world and for centuries and closely gaurded secret. Piazza San Marco looks today as it did in the paintings in the Uffizi gallery that we saw yesterday. Anyone who has had an art history class will see all of the fantastic painting and works of art that are...just amazing.

Tons of good cheese (and wine). Tons of good art. Tons of marble. Tons of beautiful people.

There is Landscape Architecture here too...different solutions to different problems. We are all taking notes and sketches....
